It is sad to say, but wherever you go, people will try to take advantage of those uneducated in this space. With that being said, these are some ways to protect yourself to make sure you don't encounter the following:

Rugs: This is when a project discontinues their progression of the project, taking all the money you invested into them and basically pocketing it for themselves.

Some ways you can prevent this from happening:

• Make sure the team is doxxed
• Before investing in a project, take into consideration Researching Techniques, which will gives a checklist to follow.
• Ask fellow members in your DAO their view on a project.

Scam Links: Scam links are links that are sent by Hacked team members or links that may be sent to you via DM by bots ( I will show an example below)

Some ways you can prevent this from happening:

• Confirm with other members in your community that these are the official links for the project you see the links being posted in.
• Never clicking on a link sent by a random person through Direct Messages;

Fake Airdrops: Malicious developers will track wallets actively doing transactions and airdrop wallets a random NFT/Token. Through this, they take advantage of uneducated users in the Space. They display a Link on the NFT for you to follow to win a “prize” But, all it does is drain your wallet. An example is shown below:
